Meet the Founder

A personal beginning

I have spent a career helping ideas become experiences.

My work has moved through international commercial production, film education, documentary practice, communication consulting and original storytelling. Windwalker Studios brings those strands together in one place.

I founded the studio not to build a monument around one filmmaker, but to create a home for meaningful work—and for the collaborators who are already carrying the work much further than any one person could.

The work today

Film is still the centre.

I am currently developing Earth 2045: The Tone of First Remembrance, the first feature film in the Children of the Wind universe, while building Windwalker Studios as an international creative home for films, commercials, documentaries, books and narrative collaborations.

Recognising what a story is really carrying—and what should be protected, clarified, removed or allowed to remain mysterious.

Working with emerging filmmakers strengthened my belief that craft grows fastest when people are trusted with real responsibility.

The best work is rarely the product of one voice. My role is often to create enough clarity for other people's gifts to become more useful.

Beauty is not decoration. It is one of the ways trust enters an experience.

Responsibility

Stories and technologies both shape experience. The question is how we use them with imagination, responsibility and care.

Imagination

Imagination lets us rehearse futures before we are forced to inhabit them.

Humanity

Whatever the medium, the work should deepen attention, connection and our capacity to participate meaningfully in the world.

Taste & direction

I am drawn to stories that can be felt before they are explained.

I love cinema that transports the body as much as the mind: science fiction, myth, comedy, westerns, thrillers, grand worlds, intimate human moments, and stories that allow technology, nature and human consciousness to occupy the same frame without cancelling one another out.

I trust instinct, but instinct becomes more useful when tested against craft, logic, compassion and the audience's lived experience.

Narrative Stewardship

The story is not ours to dominate.

Narrative Stewardship is the practice of listening closely enough to discover what a story is asking to become, then helping it reach that form with clarity, imagination and care.

Sometimes the work is a screenplay. Sometimes it is a company, campaign, documentary, institution or idea whose meaning has not yet found its most useful expression.

Windwalker Studios is an independent film studio based in Malaysia, creating films, commercials, documentaries and original story worlds for international audiences.

My task as founder is to protect the quality of the work, build the conditions for meaningful collaboration and help the studio grow into something larger than the circumstances of its beginning.
